if using the adhesive to stick to the door, make sure to line it up properly the first time. If you don't, it won't adhere nearly as well after that.

the locks are great (super easy to install and strong too), and the key is awesome. we bought 2 keys, one for the bathroom and one for the kitchen. didn't even need to use the mount piece for the key since the key sticks very firmly to the fridge and medicine cabinet with its magnet. very nice.

Within a week of installing these adhesive mount magnetic lock sets three of them were pulled off by a toddler. We purchased the starter set and the four additional lock sets and only two of them are still in place. At first they seemed nice since they installed quickly with no holes in the cabinets but considering how expensive they are they should have better adhesive and tabs. Don't purchase these as you are wasting your money!

I have a love hate relation ship to these locks. I love the idea of how they could work with one easy magnetic key and no screws needed. In real life they are a pain at times I installed a total of 12 magnetic locks 3 of them does not work at all not sure what the problem is. Since I got 9 of them to work I do not think it is all operator error. .. I installed them all the same way but how they work seems to differ from lock to lock, some opens when you draw the magnet to the right, some opens when you draw the magnet to the left, some up and some down. I ended up using the screws on most of the locks .

We installed two of these about a month ago. The adhesive is strong, the magnet is strong and there is no concern that the baby will pinch his/her fingers using this type of locking mechanism. They are MUCH easier to install than the Tot Locks (no drilling required) I have the Tot Locks in my kitchen, and they work well but I didn't want to drill into the interior of my entertainment center where I installed these...I'll be ordering another set to secure some other areas in our house from a busy toddler!
